Sashiko Meets Freeform Embroidery
This is an advanced class suitable for students who have Sashiko and embroidery stitching experience.
Further practice of more complex Sashiko patterns combined with freeform embroidery. This embroidery is the imaginative use of stitches without patterns.
In this class, learn the art and design of combining Sashiko style stitching with freeform embroidery for decorative reinforcement and embellishment.Also learn creative ways to insert and secure patches. Transfer a design using your choice of tools and combine embroidery and Sashiko stitches to develop the design.
Use Sashiko and embroidery stitches on your chosen garment to repair, embellish and create unique wearable art pieces.

Bring along an article of clothing that you think will suit mending or embellishing with your Sashiko stitching design and freeform embroidery.
