Terms and Conditions

Duration

Lessons run for 2.0 hours.

Sewing Machine Basics and Sewing Beginner Classes are run for individual participants either you come to me or I go to you at an extra cost.

Enrolments

Full payment must be made at least 48 hours prior to the lesson. All lessons are held on a one to one basis.

Prices

Individual Adult or Child (Accompanied by an adult): $50.00 per lesson.

Bring a friend: $40 per person.

Discount for larger groups: Please discuss before booking.

Sewing Kit: $25.00

Payment Options

Payments must be made by Direct Deposit. The bank details will be in the confirmation email you will receive upon booking.

Cancellations and Refunds

100% refund up to 24 hours prior to the lesson. You must notify The Indigo Bell by phone or email at least 24 hours or more, prior to the start of the lesson if you are unable to attend.

0% refund if you cancel less than 24 hours prior to the lesson or fail to show up.

You may transfer the place to a friend. Please contact me before the lesson to arrange the name change.

When The Indigo Bell Needs to Make a Change and Cancel Bookings

Should the lesson have problems with the venue, The Indigo Bell will cancel or postpone the workshop to a future date.

If a workshop needs to be cancelled, you will be contacted in advance as much as possible and you will either receive a refund or alternatively be booked into a future workshop.

You are entitled to a full refund when:

  • A class or event is cancelled by The Indigo Bell
  • A class or event is rescheduled by The Indigo Bell, and you are unable to attend on the new date.

Workshop Guidelines

The following guidelines apply for all discussions and conversations that take place among members of The Indigo Bell Workshops:

  1. I will respect my fellow participants, taking into consideration that everyone comes from diverse backgrounds and different levels of technical experience.
  2. I will be open-minded and prepared to enjoy the lesson.
  3. I will be mindful of how I present myself to the lesson.
  4. I will not be aggressive, judgmental, or verbally attack anyone.
  5. I will engage in active listening when others are speaking, which includes not interrupting, turning my mobile phone off, and refraining from text messaging.
  6. I will wait my turn and allow the tutor to spend equal time with each participant and not expect to be always the first to have the tutor’s attention.
  7. I will actively participate in the lesson, which means I will come to lesson on time and be prepared for each lesson.
  8. I will step up and make verbal contributions during the lesson, and I will also step back and allow others to speak after I have had my turn.
